The music in a film or TV soundtrack is there to help tell the emotional side of a story. My job as a composer is to do this in a way that supports and forwards the plot, without getting in the way of the dialogue or action.

As you can hear from the music examples above, every movie or TV show is different, and every score has a different feel, different musical instruments, and different sensibilities. And each director has different taste and vision.

But the same can be said for the various styles of music within a single film or episode. A composer has to have the versatility to create great music in any genre, and at the drop of a hat.
